honeybear asked:
My friend’s sister is having a baby boy in December. I have hung out with her (in a group) a few times, but we are not really close friends. I am invited to her baby shower. What would be a good gift to get someone you don’t really know that well. What amount of $$ would you spend?

Well, I usually buy a outfit or some bottles. They’re usually cheap. If anything, I try to spend under $20 dollars.

An inexpensive and nice gift would be a baby bath tub and bath items. She definitely will use powder, shampoo, baby bath, etc. She may and probably will get duplicates, but I can assure you she will use them. You can even pick up a pack of diapers and wipes, that may run you about $15.

If I were in your shoes I would probley go with a package of diapers. They are really nice to recieve and something that will definatly be used. And you can buy them for under $20.00 (check out your local stores ads and you can usually find them on sale or the sunday paper would have coupons that would also help cut the price) They are a safe bet since you really don’t know her that well.
