Seagull and baby on my terrace cannot go out?

David G asked:

There is a seagull family between the plants on my terrace.
They also have a baby.
When we try to go out they bark threatening.
What can we do ?
How long does it take before the baby can fly ?
At present we have to avod the terrace (:

Depending on which species of Gull you have nesting on your porch, it can be anywhere from 35-60 days before the young leave the nest.

If you really need to go out there often, you could possibly place a cardboard petition (or whatever you feel like using to block their view) around the side of the porch the Gulls are on, and stick to the other side, which might let them feel like they have a “barrier” to keep you out. If not, and you don’t want to just dump the baby out, just wait a little longer until they leave, and try to rearrange your plants so they don’t come back next year :)
