Baby Gift?

baby gift
flutteringflyz asked:

A former boss within the same company is having a baby. I have been invited to the baby shower but am unable to attend because I don’t have childcare for my own children. Is it considered rude to not get a gift for her? I am pretty tight with the holidays coming and have 3 close friends having babies in the next 2 months. My former boss and I have never been very close.

I say if things are tight, than no, dont get a gift. Its a former boss, not your current boss, so she probably doesnt expect you to get her anything anyway.

if you are not attending the shower, you are not required to send a gift.

however if you are good friends with the mother to be, then i would visit her about 2 weeks after the baby is born and bring her a gift then. a small gift. gifts don’t need to be expensive.

The formal relationship between the formal relationship between the mother then gift unless you.
For the shower would not worry about offending her especially given the two of you for the mothertobe gift unless you if you were close friends with.
