Hi there, i need some help with baby gift ideas. My friends and i are getting together a few ideas for someones baby shower, we want to shower her with gifts but we are on a budget. We’ve come up with some cunning ideas including lollipop bibs and sock candy (which is basically socks rolled up in a cellophane wrapper with ribbon ties. We’ve thought about making a nappy cake but we need more ideas ladies!!! PLEASE help! Can you think of any other cunning, inventive and imaginative gift ideas that we can make or put together. We already have a hamper for mum and baby. Basically we need ideas similar to our like baby things decorated as something else. I hope im not stretching your imagination too far, but come on ladies (men) we’ve all got kids… THINK!!!!!!!

My husband and I really want to do something for his old manager and his wife who are expecting their first baby. This manager was fantastic and went out of his way to help our family, but we dont have the sort of relationship where we keep in touch. We see his manager once in a while and say hello in passing.
Last night while I was at work(babies r us), he and his wife came in to pick up their new crib. We talked for almost 20 minutes and he asked many questions about how our daughter was doing and was clearly interested in how we were doing. We also talked a bit about their upcoming new arrival.
This manager went so above and beyond to help my husband and our family while he was working there, and we really want to do something for them.
They dont have a gift registry, but I make and sell diaper cakes so we were thinking of dropping one off to him at work (left at the security desk, not interfering with work).
Is it appropriate?
