If you haven’t begun one already, a college savings account is ALWAYS a good idea.
Other than that, how about a baby quilt or blanket. They’re not that hard to make.

You can make your own photo album or scrapbook to keep all of the babies pictures and memorabilia. I am not sure how much longer you two have, but you can also make a blanket or something like that. If you go to a local craft store and pick up a kit to make a blanket, it can be really fun for both of you to work on. I did that for my son and daughter and I had never sewed before in my life - so if I can do it you can too!
