BTW, the woman having the baby is my brother’s WIFE.

I have brown eyes and my boyfriend has hazel eyes that turn green occasionally. My baby is 3 weeks old and his eyes are greyish with a hint of blue-green. Is there any indicator of what his eye color will be? AND if not, at what age will his “true” eyecolor be present?

I grew up going to many a baby shower and was always told or under the impression that you only had a baby shower for the first child.

Now two women at work have gotten pregnant, one already giving birth and the other is due in a month. The first lady was on her third child, but in her defense, the shower was a surprise and we were told to just bring things like diapers and wipes. It was also a very low key, finger foods ordeal.

This second woman who is due next month is having a full blown, three course meal type of shower because her sister also works at my office. This is her second child and they registered even. Is this proper etiquette? To continue having baby showers after the first child AND registering for them?

On top of that, the sister has decided to go around the office asking the men to donate money for the shower for presents. They aren’t even invited. I think she must have been raised in a barn. What do you think?

Okay, I am planning a baby shower for my best friend her sister and I are doing this, we are stuck on ideas for her. We both only came up with a spongebob theme because she loves spongebob but we’re not sure if thats more of a birthday theme. So we need other ideas she is due to have a baby boy in April so we are planning for the shower in March. So please any ideas (themes, games, decorations, etc.)

Thanks

Here is my situation: I am 25 weeks pregnant and live aprox 4 hours away from my immediate family (parents, aunts/uncles, ect…) and aprox 3 and 1/2 hours from my husbands family. My sister in law and brother live 15 minutes away and around x-mas time she aked if she could throw me a baby shower. What made her offer ohhh so appealing is that we wouldn’t have to travel a long distance to have a shower AND wouldn’t have to worry about how to get our new baby gifts back home (4 hours away).
So my question is: Not many relatives from either side of the families are willing to travel in March to my shower and that is fine, but I have about 25 work friends that I want @ the shower. How many is too many work friends becasue I don’t want it to seem we’re being greedy by inviting more people for more gifts when that isn’t the truth at all. I just know when we got married we had 3 bridal showers and we had to travel all over the state to attend them. I just didn’t want to do that again.
Ohh yeah, one point I left out: The shower is being held @ a resturant. There was no room rental fee involved and we’re having a light tea fare. My sister in law’s apartment is WAY small and it was HER idea to “rent” a place.

I really want to have something original and not so traditional for my upcoming baby shower. For example, instead of a cake i was thinking about having a candy buffet. What other ideas can you think of? By the way its going to be co-ed also.

So, a friend of the family’s is having a baby. We aren’t that close, but I feel obligated to get her a shower present. I don’t want to spend a lot of money and she already has a ton of clothes. Any suggestions.

My best friend and mom are planning my baby shower and we are brain storming for ideas as far as games, locations, food, themes, etc. I have a list of about 30-40 people I would like to invite and I want to make it really nice but my friend is on a tight budget. Any suggestions?
